BOOK MARKETING PLAN FOR BESTSELLING SUCCESS

A STRATEGIC PATH TO HIGH-VOLUME BOOK SALES

THE HARSH TRUTH ABOUT BOOK SALES

The average self-published author sells just 250 books in a lifetime.
Even traditionally published books only sell around 3,000 copies total—and most of those sales (about 250–300 copies) happen in the first year.

Why? Because book marketing doesn’t happen by accident.
A-list authors—whether traditionally or self-published—don’t leave book sales to chance.

They follow a clear, strategic marketing plan designed to hit the numbers and foster consistent sales.

If you're aiming for major book sales, it’s time to understand what it really takes.

Here’s what most aspiring authors don’t realize

1. Traditional publishers only market your book for about six weeks.
Once your launch window closes, their attention shifts to the next wave of titles. Without a personalized strategy, your book loses momentum—fast.

2. A-list authors don’t rely solely on their publisher’s team.
Even the biggest names invest in their own marketers, publicists, and launch teams. They build support around their book because they know visibility is earned, not handed out.

3. A-list authors are involved in every part of their book’s success.
They don’t wait for opportunities—they create them. They pitch themselves for interviews, line up partnerships, build relationships with readers, and amplify their message with intention and strategy.

If you don’t take control of your book’s marketing, no one else will.

And if you’re serious about selling thousands of books—not just hundreds—you need more than a few Instagram posts and launch day emails.

You need a plan that’s designed for where you are now, and where you want to go next.

WHAT MAKES THIS PLAN DIFFERENT

A lot of authors waste time chasing tactics that don’t move books—like random social media posts or one-off interviews with no follow-up strategy.

This isn’t that.

Selling books isn’t about luck. And it’s not about doing more—it’s about doing what works.

Successful authors follow a clear, strategic plan that keeps their book selling—not just for a few weeks, but for the long run. Whether you’ve just launched your book or it’s been out for a while, an effective marketing strategy can create momentum, attract new readers, and generate ongoing sales.

That’s what this service is designed to do.

I take the guesswork out of book marketing by creating a personalized roadmap based on your book, your goals, and your strengths—so you can focus your energy where it matters most.

YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the process work?

After you make your deposit, we’ll schedule your first call—a 1:1 audit session where we’ll review your current marketing efforts, book positioning, and goals. Then I’ll create your custom book marketing plan based on that conversation and your intake materials. Once your final payment is received, we’ll have a second call to walk through your full plan, answer questions, and make sure you’re ready to implement it confidently.

Who is this best for?

This offer is designed to support authors across all genres—fiction, nonfiction, memoir, poetry, children’s books, and more. Whether your book is just launching or has been out for a while, this plan will meet you where you are and help you move forward with clarity and confidence.

What if my book has already launched?

That’s not a problem at all. Many of my clients come to me after launch when they’re ready to build momentum and turn their book into a long-term sales engine.

What if I don’t like social media or certain platforms?

That’s totally fine. I’ll build your plan around what works for you—whether that’s SEO, email marketing, speaking, partnerships, or another channel. This is not a one-size-fits-all approach.

How do you determine which strategies to include?

I’ll focus on the 3–4 highest-impact channels based on your strengths, audience, and goals. Whether it’s influencer outreach, media, search, or social, your plan will be tailored to you.

Does this service guarantee book sales or bestseller status?

No. While the strategy you receive is built on proven methods, industry data, and over 25 years of marketing experience, I can’t guarantee specific sales results. Your success depends on your implementation and factors like market conditions, reader demand, and consistency.

Are payments refundable?

No. Because this is a custom service that involves significant research and planning, all payments are final and non-refundable.

When is the second payment due?

The second and final payment is due before you receive your completed custom marketing plan. The first payment initiates the audit process.

How long does it take to receive the full marketing plan?

Most plans are delivered within 2–3 weeks after your audit call and completion of any requested intake materials. You’ll get a realistic timeline after we begin.

Will you help me implement the plan?

This offer is for strategy only. However, if you’d like support with execution, Done-for-You (DFY) services are available at $60/hour with a 10-hour/week minimum.
